Becoming a member is easy. Attend three West Shore Sail Club events, such as a monthly meeting or a social event. We are a friendly bunch, so be prepared for a warm welcome followed by wanting to know about you and your boat.
After three events, obtain a Membership Application. Have two current members who want to recommend you for membership, sign the form. Intial membership fee is $40 + $30 for annual dues and an optional $1 to go to youth sailing, for a total of $71. Checks are made out to West Shore Sail Club. Turn in the application and fees to the Membership Coordinator. The Membership Coordinator will present the application to the Executive Board for approval. Once approved, at the next Monthly Meeting, you will be presented with a West Shore Burgee, Membership Roster, copy of our Constitution and By-Laws, and membership card(s).
Our memberships are family memberships, children 21 years of age and older are dropped from the family membership and encouraged to obtain their own membership.
At the beginning of each year any member wishing to renew their membership may do so, by obtaining a membership renewal form. Submit the form with annual dues of $30 + $1 (optional) for youth sailing. Forms may be hand delivered to the Membership Coordinator on or before the March General Membership Meeting. A $10 late fee will be assessed on any renewal applications submitted after the March meeting. Renewals may also be mailed to:
